The highly anticipated second season of Star Wars: Ahsoka doesn't begin filming until next week, but that doesn't mean the cast and crew haven't prepared plenty of previews, teasers, and a pre-production teaser to share with audiences at Star Wars Celebration Japan.

After Lucasfilm's James Waugh announced the release date for nine new short films Star Wars: Visions - October 29, 2025 - he announced a brand new a spin-off series of longer stories from Star Wars: Visions.

He invited the writer and director of The Ninth Jedi to the stage, Kenji Kamiyama, who thanked the audience for such support and enthusiasm for Kara and Juro's adventures in The Ninth Jedi and the upcoming Hope's Child. He then announced that fans would watch Kara's journey continue in an all-new spin-off called Star Wars: Visions Presents - The Ninth Jedi.
