Season 2 of Star Wars: Maul - Lord of Shadows Confirmed
Apr 06, 2026Not only will Darth Maul get his revenge, but his journey will continue in the second season of Maul – Shadow Lord (Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord).
Ahead of the premiere of the animated series, creator and executive producer Dave Filoni announced a continuation of the show. The Lucasfilm Animation team is already working on the second season.
The first season will debut on Disney+ with two episodes premiering on April 6. Two episodes each will be released until the beginning of May.
What is “Maul - Lord of Shadows” about
The animated series is a thrilling adventure in which a former Darth plots to rebuild his crime syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There he crosses paths with a Jedi Padawan who could become his apprentice.
The show will fill in the gap in the Sith Lord's history, exploring his actions afterThe Clone Warsbut beforeRebels. The project has an unusual animation style, and it will also be in a new genre for the franchise.
The animated series is dedicated to the concept of “cops and robbers”. According to Lord of Shadows's animation director Keith Kellogg, fans can expect something unusual.
