The galaxy's most adorable 50-year-old, popularly known as Baby Yoda and officially Grogu, will make his big screen debut inThe Mandalorian and Grogu, which will be released in theaters on May 22. Ahead of the film's premiere, former Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, in an interview with Variety, revealed an interesting detail about the development of Grogu's character in the upcoming film.

Kennedy said that in the new film, Grogu will not be speechless. This news comes after years of speculation about whether Grogu would speak backwards like Yoda, or if he would speak in a normal voice like other characters in theStar Warsuniverse. It looks likeThe Mandalorian and Groguwill not answer that question.

In an interview, Kennedy described Grogu as "another great example of a character who has to express emotion, to feel a connection with, and yet he never says a word."

Kennedy also said that fans will love Grogu even more "on the big screen, and he won't say a word."

Judging by the trailers already released, audiences will have plenty of opportunity to fall in love with Grogu even more when The Mandalorian series and Grogu movie hit theaters, even if they won't know if Grogu will have Yoda's unique speech pattern.

The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released in theaters on May 22.
