New Star Wars footage about Darth Maul has been released

Darth Maul made his debut as a Star Wars villain back in 1999 inThe Phantom Menace, and years later he is preparing to return in a solo animated series.

Last year at Star Wars Celebration, it became known about the development of the animated series Maul - Shadow Lord (Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord). The first trailer was released not so long ago, and now the publication Collider has presented a new shot.

Sam Witwer confirmed that the series takes place a year afterThe Clone Wars. This means that the events will take place before the events of Rebels, so the series will continue to fill in the gaps.

The Han Solo movie revealed that Maul is the leader of the crime syndicateCrimson Dawn. “Lord of Shadows”can tell about the formation of this organization.

The debut video confirmed that Maul is taking on a Twi'lek as his apprentice. The young Force-sensitive heroine could be another "Legends" character to become part of the canon.

The first two episodes will be released on April 6, followed by two episodes each week until May 4.
