Rogue One celebrates 10th anniversary with new comics

Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics have teamed up to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by releasing a series of new comics dedicated to the film's beloved characters.
As exclusively reported by io9, five new single-issue comics will focus on the events immediately preceding the film Rogue One, and each will focus on one or more key characters from the film: Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Chirrut Imwe and Baze Malbus, as well as Darth Vader.
Jyn Erso's story, written by Ethan Sacks and illustrated by Ramon Rosanas, will take place on the planet Wobani, where she is imprisoned at the beginning of the film.
Meanwhile, the story of Cassian, written by Ben Percy and Luke Ross, will unfold in the shortest canonical period - between the end of of the second seasonAndorand the beginning of Rogue One, in which Cassian arrives at the mining colony of Kafren.
“When we first meet Cassian Andor, he is killing Tivik, a Rebel informant, in cold blood,” said Cassian comic book writer Ben Percy. “I remember looking around in the cinema because I couldn’t believe my eyes. That moment on The Ring of Kafrena really made me realize how different this film was going to be, and I knew I wanted to do that exactly in the first issue,” Percy continued. “Because there is a lot going on on the periphery that we don’t see. I'm working on this with the brilliant artist Luke Ross, and we're bringing you the story that leads to this unforgettable, character- and franchise-defining moment.Prepare for bounty hunters, stormtroopers, Krennic, K2, and a lot at stake for both the Rebels and the Empire."
