High on the heels of last week's Super Bowl special, a new full trailer for The Mandalorian and the Grogu movie has officially been released. Watch the trailer below and read on for a full look at the new footage.
The trailer begins with yesterday's special preview showing a Apocalypse Now-style sunrise and Mando and Grogu aboard the Razor Crest. This footage gives us a better look at Din Djarin's new Razor Crest, which Jon Favreau recently confirmed is a replica of his previous ship. InThe Book of Boba FettPelli Moto was asked by Din Djarin to keep an eye on the other Razor Crosses, and she appears to have located them, as the Mandalorian's starfighter from Naboo is missing from the trailer.
The location at the beginning of the trailer (see below) looks like it's Coruscant.

In the trailer, Din Djarin shows the credits with the New Republic logo/symbol.

The following video shows Din Djarin asking a member of the Ardennian race about the Hutt. The Ardennians first appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story as Rio Durant, voiced by Jon Favreau, director of The Mandalorian and Grogu. Rumor has it that the Ardennian is voiced by legendary director Martin Scorsese.

The Hutt twins fromThe Book of Boba Fettappear in the trailer. Does this mean Din Djarin will visit Tatooine in the new movie? Quite possible.
The trailer image below shows the Imperial Shadow Council, presumably composed of former Imperial officers gathered to revive the fallen Empire.Snowtroopers, a type of soldier first seen inThe Empire Strikes Back
can be seen in the corners of the frame.
Din Djarin tells Colonel Ward, played by Sigourney Weaver, "We will destroy every villain in your deck of cards." This further emphasizes Din Djarin's new status in the film: he is no longer just a rogue bounty hunter, but an agent acting on behalf of the New Republic.
Watch Grogu salute Sigourney Weaver!

The droids in the trailer image below appear to be the mercenary security droids recently introduced as toys for the film.

The trailer shows the debut of Embo and his pet anooba Marrok in a live-action movie for the first time. Embo first appeared inThe Clone Warsas a bounty hunter and will apparently cross paths with Din Djarin in the new film.

The trailer also features the best look to date at a grown-up Rotta the Hutt in a live-action movie. Rotta the Hutt first appeared as a baby in the 2008 filmThe Clone Warsand is voiced by actor Jeremy Allen White, best known for his role as Bear.

After a cameo appearance in the third season of The Mandalorian, fan favorite Star Wars Rebels Zeb makes his feature film debut in The Mandalorian and Grogu. In the trailer, he remarks how much he likes Grogu.

In the new movie, it looks like Grogu is using some of the meditation skills Luke taught him as a Jedi.
The trailer excerpt below translates the caption "Weathers Apollo", a tribute to the late Earl Weathers, who played Greef Karg in the series.

We have Baby Yoda. Now we have Baby Greedo. Yes, a Rodian cub in a stroller is seen in the trailer.

After remaining maskless throughout Season 3, Pedro Pascal appears without a helmet several times in the trailer. However, what compels The Mandalorian to remove his helmet remains unclear. Will Din Djarin change his stance that Mandalorians should not remove their helmets? Or is it a situation like in episode 15: "Believer" when he is forced to take off his helmet? Either way, we're glad to see Pascal back as the face of The Mandalorian. This will be the first time in six years that we've seen him unmasked as Din Djarin.

In the trailer, Grogu eats the same blue cookies as in the second season.

The Mandalorian series and the Grogu movie will be released in theaters on May 22.
