Villain Confirmed to Return for 'Ahsoka 2'

Feb 07, 2026

In the second season of Ahsoka(Ahsoka), one of the main villains of the first season of the series Star Wars will return.

The show, starring Rosario Dawson, introduced several antagonists, chief among them Grand Admiral Thrawn. Other enemies also appeared, such as Morgan Elsbeth, the Great Mothers of Dathomir, Marrok, Baylan Skoll, and Shin Hachi. While Marrok and Morgan are not expected to return for season two, one more character has been confirmed to appear.

According to actress Jane Edwina Seymour's website, Lakesis will appear in the second season of Ahsoka in several episodes. This is indicated by the fact that she worked with several directors.

In early 2025, I was asked to reprise the role of Great Mother Lakesis in the second season of Star Wars: Ahsoka, which was filmed at Pinewood and Longcross Studios in England. It was a great joy and honor for me to have the opportunity to develop the character of Lakesis more fully and deeply. Having created this character in the first season, I knew there was so much more potential in this character.

Seymour noted that she had the opportunity to “more fully explore Lakesis' modus operandi and true aspirations.” This directly points to the expansion of the character's role in the second season.

Who is Lakesis in Star Wars?

Lakesis is one of the Great Nightsister Mothers of Peridea who serves as a mentor to Grand Admiral Thrawn. The first season ofAhsokadoesn't reveal much about their origins, but Seymour's comments suggest they will play an important role in the sequel.

The key abilities of Lakesis and the other Great Mothers include the use of dark magic to animate Thrawn's horde of nighttroopers and access to mystical secrets. The latter could become a decisive factor in Thrawn's fight against the New Republic.

The second season of Ahsoka is expected to premiere in 2026 on Disney+.
