The Mandalorian and Grogu are still months away, but Lucasfilm and ILM are making anticipation for the upcomingStar Wars filma little more tolerant by releasing a brand new short film.
The Mandalorian: Toy Knot, part of the Star Wars Minis series of short films that began last month with "Gingerbread Death Star Trench Run," debuted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel.
The Mandalorian: Toy Knot retells the iconic interaction scene between Din Djarin and Grogu from the first season of the hit Disney+ series using a charming animation style reminiscent of crochet.

This short film is not the only release from Lucasfilm/Disney in anticipation of the release of the new Star Wars film. During Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, a new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is expected to debut, revealing more details about Din Djarin and Grogu's first big screen adventure.
The Mandalorian series and the Grogu movie will be released in theaters on May 22.
