New footage of The Mandalorian and Grogu hints at an upcoming trailer

The Mandalorian & Grogu is the next big release in the Star Wars franchise, bringing a galaxy far, far away back to theaters. It is clear that the stakes are higher than ever.

Before the sessions of Avatar: Fire and Ashthey show a new trailer, which is unlikely to appear online, since it is only an extended version of the first video. But we got a fresh shot.

The new image shows the main characters: The Mandalorian and Grogu. They are on a ship. Apparently, this scene is in the trailer.

When will the new trailer be released?

Since the extended version of the theatrical debut isn't expected online, we'll be getting a brand new trailer. It may come out during the Super Bowl. The big game will take place on the night of February 8-9.

Disney has a history of releasing Super Bowl promotional materials, so the studio is unlikely to bypass it this year. Because the newStar Warsis believed in, it will be heavily promoted—and an event that averages 126 million viewers is a great platform.

The Mandalorian and Groguwill be released in theaters on May 21, 2026. The villain will not be Moff Gideon.
