A fresh canonical novel that adds new details toStar Warsreimagines the film franchise's prequel trilogy.

Portal ComicBook isolated interesting facts about the Sith from the novel Master of Evil, which takes place chronologically after the sixth film in the franchise, Revenge of the Sith. It is then that Anakin Skywalker as Darth Vader begins his dark path.

The portal encourages you not to ignore books on Star Wars. For example, the novelizationA New Hopementioned about poetry. While the word "Sith" was first mentioned on the big screen only inThe Phantom Menace.

Red is the color of the Sith

The Sith have always been known for their distinctive red lightsabers, created by "bleeding" a kyber crystal, through which anger and hatred flow. Lord of Evilreveals that red is the traditional color of the Sith.

Palpatine didn’t even try to hide from the Jedi

At first glance, the idea that the Sith have a traditional color may seem like a funny detail. But it does give a new look at Palpatine's story. Darth Sidious didn't even try to hide from the Jedi.

In E. C. Johnston's novel The Queen's Shadow, Palpatine openly contemplated what Chancellor Valorum's interior would look like in red. He made these changes when he became chancellor. Even his guardsmen wore red robes.

Darth Vader has a new title

To C-3PO, Anakin was the “Creator” - simply because he was the one who created him. In contrast,Lord of Evilofficially refers to Darth Vader as the “Great Destroyer.”

He is a force of destruction, slaughtering the remaining Jedi and destroying their legacy.Ironically, he eventually turned out to be the Great Destroyer of the Sith, betraying Darth Sidious.

Count Dooku also planned to betray Palpatine

In Revenge of the Sith, Count Dooku seemed strangely surprised by Palpatine's betrayal, as if he had somehow forgotten that betrayal was the way of the Sith. In Master of Evilit is revealed that Dooku himself planned to betray Palpatine, but believed that it could only go one way: he apparently considered himself an indispensable apprentice. Of course, he was wrong not to realize that Palpatine considered Anakin Skywalker much more valuable.
