Jaba the Hutt's son will become the Mandalorian's new partner

The Mandalorian will have a new sidekick in the upcoming filmThe Mandalorian & Grogu. This is an old friend ofStar Warsfans.

One of the characters who will return in the film is Rotta the Hutt, who made his debut in the animated filmThe Clone Wars. The actor who plays him, Jeremy Allen White (The Bear), revealed some details about him.

The actor said that Jabba the Hutt's adult son will be "running around with Din Djarin" for most of the film. This is the first sign that he is one of the main characters in the film.

Plot details have not yet been revealed, but the first trailer hinted at a gladiatorial arena scene featuring Rotta. This may be their first meeting with Mando.

The role of Rotta the Hutt in The Mandalorian and Grogu

It is still unclear exactly what impact the character will have on the plot. However, he will somehow become part of Mando's team.

What is known is that the Mandalorian and Grogu will fight the remnants of the Empire. Even the main villain has not yet been revealed.

Some have speculated that the film may focus on a "heist" involving the Hutt Syndicate. If so, then perhaps Rotta is behind the idea. Following the death of his father inReturn of the Jedithere is a possibility that he is trying to take back control of a galaxy-spanning criminal network.

The Mandalorian and Groguwill be released in theaters on May 21, 2026. The film will be available in IMAX.
