Ahsoka from The Clone Wars will return in Season 2 thanks to Anakin Skywalker
Oct 31, 2025
The second season of Ahsoka will feature a new arc for the main character, based on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Moreover, the action takes place approximately 30 years after the events of the animated show.
Rosario Dawson told (via The Direct) at Comic-Con Scotland that Ahsoka would "relax" and "get back to being joyful": "In the beginning she had more self-confidence and she was a little more deadpan. I like that she relaxes, her joy will return.”
Dawson attributes Ahsoka's relief to her interaction with Anakin Skywalker in Season 1, who appeared to her as a Force ghost in Between Worlds to teach her life lessons. Dawson said those interactions "were very important":
I think those moments with Hayden [Christensen] were very important for the character to heal. And I really like it. I think that in the second season we will be able to explore this topic much more.
The star added that viewers will see the Jedi "working a little more in the community." This will be a big change for Ahsoka, who has spent most of her time in isolation acting like a lone wolf.
Anakin Skywalker's influence continues to be felt
Anakin and Ahsoka's relationship began to crack after the former turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader. For a long time, the heroine did not know about the transformation of her teacher, but the battle between them in Rebels revealed the fate of Skywalker to the Padawan and left her in deep confusion over the following years.
This injury also left Ahsoka unable to train her apprentice, Sabine Wren, which was explored in detail throughout the series' first season. However, returning to her past under the guidance of the ghost of Anakin, the heroine was able to learn his lessons.
Dawson's comments about the experience of freeing Ahsoka open the door to the version of the character that fans came to love inThe Clone Wars.It will be interesting to see if these lessons from the heroine will allow Sabine to return to training.
Hayden Christensen has been confirmed to return as Anakin in the second season of Ahsoka. This hints that Tano may still have a lot to learn from his former teacher. It could also hint at more flashbacks to the Clone Wars era, with Ariana Greenblatt playing a young Ahsoka. The show will likely feature two timelines again.
The second season of Ahsoka is the next major Star Wars series. The release is expected in November 2026.
