The release date for the Star Wars add-on for PowerWash Simulator 2 has finally arrived
The galaxy is dirty, and it looks like the Rebellion is outsourcing.
The PowerWash Simulator 2 Star Wars Pack now has a release date of July 16, 2026. This paid DLC will add dirt, ships, locations and a suspiciously large amount of galactic dust from the Star Wars universe to FuturLab's highly entertaining cleaning simulator.
On the official PowerWash Simulator 2: STAR WARS Pack page on Steam the release date is indicated as July 16 and it is confirmed that the DLC requires a basic game.
Yes, it's true.
Someone looked at Star Wars, a franchise known for grit, grease, broken equipment, Rebel hangars, Imperial metal, soot, and questionable maintenance standards, and rightly decided: this galaxy needs a pressure washer.
Rebellions are built on soap.
The Star Wars Pack is set during the events of the original trilogy and allows players to take on the role of P0-W2, a fifth-class janitor droid.
According to the PowerWash Simulator 2 page on the FuturLab website, P0-W2 begins his career as a lowly janitor droid before being recruited to work for the Empire and eventually helping clear the way for the Alliance rebels.
It's very Star Wars-y.
Some heroes blow up the Death Stars. Others smuggle blueprints. Still others look dramatically at sunsets, where two stars replace each other.
P0-W2 removes dirt from a military vehicle.
Respect hard work.

Tatooine, Hoth and the Joy of Cleaning Up Star Wars Mud
The DLC promises locations and objects inspired by the original trilogy, taking players from the sandstorms of Tatooine to the icy fields of Hoth, with new stops on the Outer Edge of the Galaxy.
This is the ideal configuration for PowerWash Simulator.
Star Wars has always looked lived-in. The ships are scratched. The bases are covered with dust. Droids are dirty. Even the cleanest Imperial facility probably has some poor technician lurking behind the scenes, losing his battle with space mold.
This add-on understands the task.
The goal of the game is not to make you a Jedi, a bounty hunter, or a pilot.
It raises an important question: who cleans the X-wing fighter after the hero lands it in the swamp?

A surprisingly perfect Star Wars game
Star Wars Pack will support single and co-op play, so players will be able to cleanse the galaxy alone or create, as the game's page on Steam quite rightly describes, the second most popular droid duo in galaxy.
In the larger context of the complete history of Star Wars gaming, this would probably rank in the "weird but somehow obvious" category.
And this is a good angle.
Not every Star Wars game needs to be about destiny, lightsabers, or saving the galaxy through heroic violence.
Sometimes saving the galaxy means washing Rebel vehicles until they no longer look like they lost a fight with the bantha.
The Star Wars Pack for PowerWash Simulator 2 will be released on July 16.
Bring soap with you.
